For a long time now, mission payouts have been spotty and unpredictable. Some of the higher end ships cost an exorbitant amount to insure relative to normal income, and it leads to people doing these crazy money grabs whenever they pop up.
Mission payouts need an uptick for people who are highly progressed in the game, such that earning enough to cover your insurance is not a multi hour endeavor without cash grab scenarios.
I suggest some sort of multiplier for mission rewards based on your relevant pilots federation rank. Combat rank multiplier would only apply to combat missions, trade to trading missions, exploration for passenger missions.
Something on the order of +1 multiplier per rank, to the max of +9 for Elite.
This ensures rewards scale up based on experience and would allow pilots deep into their career (who are presumably flying more expensive ships) to more reliably cover their costs.
