Newcomer / Intro Mission Reward Cargo & Data

Hi,

Had a break for a few months and upon my recent return have started ranking up with the Empire through doing missions. I noticed that as well as credit, rep & influence rewards that they're now throwing in various cargo and data.

My question is, what is the best thing to with it all?

Do I just sell the reward cargo as I wish, or is it something the engineers would be interested in?

I'm assuming that the reward data is to be handed over to engineers?

Not a newbie, but it seemed like a newbie question hence posting it in here :)

If the cargo is suitable for the engineers unless you are visiting them soon sell it as it is a strong attractor of pirates, unless you like fighting pirates in which case it is great bait.

That's right. Check the link GJ posted and decide what upgrades you want and only keep the commodities you're gonna need. The rest is a dead weight.
