Mission Rewards

I fly a Sidewinder because it's a perfect able ship to do everything in the game except accept the reward for passenger missions. I've managed to unlock nearly all the engineers, and I'm Elite in combat, so, although pirate lords are challenging, I can still complete those missions. They're not so bad with long-range weapons and a bost speed of over 500m/s. The trick is to get them to land a shot without killing you, then dance around them until the feds come to help you out. It's a lot more exciting doing these missions in a SW than a Corvette, which is why I use the SW. I need these passenger missions to help me get triple Elite. I want to be the first commander to do it only in a SW.

@d8veh ,I thought you were already a triple mate? You are listed under me(ZenZak)in the hall of fame,or have you started a new Cmdr?If so then fair play and good luck with your crazy goal -)).

Odd thing is the fixed it so if you have a cargo rack with 4 tons capacity, but insufficient room ie 4 tons of cargo already, then you can turn in the mission and simply lose the cargo, but unless you have the racks you cannot turn in the mission.

I feel this is an oversight, and too find it an irritant as I am also a fan of the Sidewinder

That's right. I stopped to make some walkthrough vids for noobs, and I found that I quite liked the challenge of using the SW so I carried on. I have double Elite so far and King in the Empire. I'm going for all the main ranks.

The mission cargo reward is not just a problem for me. It's a nuisance for everyone, especially if you have limited cargo space. Also, when you forget to get rid of it, you get nuisance interdiction.

This started when I had two 2E economy cabins with 4 occupants and 2 missions to complete that both had cargo rewards. In that case I was absolutely stuck. I couldn't empty a cabin to get a cargo rack. All the passengers were grinning at me and telling me that they weren't going to get off until I had the cargo on board, which was impossible.

The worst thing is that most of the very few missions available offer mission rewards. It takes about 10 logs to get one mission, then the frustration when I can't take. I understand how it works. I'm just venting steam because it's an unnecessary situation, and it causes nothing but disappointment. The game should be rewarding and fun.

I love the irony of it...your probably the richest Cmdr in ED and your flying around in a SW -)
If I were the richest guy in the real world, I would still drive around in a crappy car, wear a Casio watch (or Fitbit), and I'd still ride my bicycle; however, I'd still find a lot of useful things to do with my money. It's a shame you can't do anything with wealth in the game.

That only works for normal missions, not passenger ones for some bizarre reason.
