Mission Time Constraints

Anybody else really annoyed at the limited amount of time allowed to complete Odyssey missions compared to ship missions? We're talking a difference of anywhere from 20+ hours to days! I got a life that needs attending to and I can't always spend the time to complete a complex mission in a single session.

Nope. I just take missions for the time I have. Most are not relog friendly anyway, so if you try and split them over several sessions you'll be restarting them each time.

I'm not sure it bothers me that much and only because you can pretty much complete any mission loop within 30 minutes and it's not as though you need to stack up lots of missions or grab a rare type of mission if you see it. Most missions are pretty common everywhere.

Maybe 12 hours would be fine. But it definitely doesn't take 12 hours to do them. It's not like EDH's kill 81 target missions.

Agree. I don’t see how it would harm anything if mission timers were extended to accommodate people with RL demands.

I do wish they were at least 24 hour long timers. Sometimes I spot a good stack of Manufacturing Instruction or Spectral Analysis data missions late at night and I'm like "Damn"

Lots of missions rely on bases being in a particular state, and that in turn is governed by the bgs, so can change every day. So you can't have missions that allow days to complete. In fact I'm surprised they managed to make it so the missions work over the bgs tick - I haven't seen any complaints about people turning up to repair a base and finding it fully operational.

Agree that they should probably stop the timer when the mission is completed though, like the space missions tend to.
