Mission Timer/Pause? Will it ever be?

I know this is probably been done to death but, i couldn't find a link in my quick search so here we are.

Will we ever have the mission timer stop when you are actually offline? I am wracking my head as to why the mission timer is global not based on your in game but have yet to come up with a reasonable explanation? Just frustrating, for example you spend 40mins collecting missions that give a nice reward, you start on them but then BANG, life gets in the way and you have to pop out or entertain or whatever the case... you come back and all your nice missions are expired, you lose your influence and it feels so deflating.. nothing leaves a worse taste in your mouth than your form of entertainment actually slapping you in the face.

I know I know, if you can't finish a mission don't start it but this is meant to be a game not a real life clock simulator. Fair go? Some missions really end up taking a few hrs and thats a lot of time especially when you have a young family.:mad:
 
Funny thing is if you log off with one ring of shield you'll have one ring of shield when you log back on at any time later. So no consistency, all in favour of penalising us for not playing the game it's as simple as that. Reputation decay, mission timers carrying on and no shield recharge are a few that come to mind.
