Anyway, you can drop in their instance, you will find a ship and you will be offered a mission that pays above average.
IF the mission asks you to deliver stuff to a Settlement, be advised that was bugged some times ago - not sure it was fixed, probably not - but you will end up with a mission that you cannot complete.
