Little topic idea that just came to me, mods, feel free to move or merge or whatever if this is already discussed elsewhere.
In the current live release, we are aware that it's possible to get alternate objectives for missions off the Bulletin Board by dropping into USSs and getting into a 'conversation' with an NPC. I first discovered this when trying my first Assassination contract while also having a few Acquisition or Combat missions.
However, if you just go around and do those missions without checking out USSs, as I'm sure many people do, you'd never encounter this additional content to the exiting pre-1.3 mission system...
I wonder what people think of the idea that these 'alternate option' NPCs should instead Interdict you, with some sort of message like 'Commander, I need to discuss your mission for [Faction] with you. It's urgent!', which let's you know what's going on and gives you the opportunity to submit and hear what they have to say.
It feels like it would make the existing system just a touch more... obvious to people, y'know?
