Missions - best way to find goods and locations

Having a very inefficient time making money doing the missions. I have managed to get a CobraIII, and love the increased potential payouts, but I don't have an efficient/effective way of finding goods needed for said mission.

For example, I accept a mission for x semiconductors to be found and delivered to the starport x. Whats the best way to locate said resources?

What I'm currently doing is making educated guesses about where good would be; for tea, I assume it's an agriculture port. But not all Ag ports have tea. Frustrating.

Any tips would be appreciated.

If you go to your the map and look for a system close to you that's exporting your item, you should be able to find it quickly. To be clear - go to the Galaxy Map. Click on View tab and then Map. Next click on Show Trade Routes. Then (as an example) click on Metals (both the box to display and the item expand on the left) and then Gold (and click the Gold display).

I tried that, but in most cases, I can't find that specific item being exported. Take Superconducters for example, I can't find a single system that exports it.

This is where the galaxy map trading view is confusing... It has nothing to do with supply/demand. You might see a system that import indite for example, go there, and you see the demand is low when you get there...(???)

there are several tools out there (not gonna link them), but search google for elite trading and you'll find some... ;)

I wish I didn't have to use my ipad on the side to do this research quickly... I hope this is what the galaxy map will let you do in game...
