I have been seeing lots of people talking missions and that thier aren't enough of them. So I came up with an idea of where missions come from.
Here goes:
Have a mission board for generic missions from faceless companies like the original bulletin board such as trading, mining, courier type missions and basic passengers that have nothing to do with the factions, but will play a part in the BGS states. These can range from high to low paid jobs depending on rank.
In the Contacts panel you have your Factions where you get faction specific missions and passengers, these will increase faction rep/Influence and influence the BGS state.
A Naval Contact where you get your Naval and Navy rank up missions which will influence the BGS and your Naval rank (these will only be available from certain stations).
Black market contact where you get all your illegal missions, these will effect Faction influence and influence the BGS but not your own Faction rep (What faction actually advertises the fact that they do assasinations and smuggling etc) and a Black Market commodity market for selling and buying of illegal goods. Also it would be good to get rep with your black market contact, so the higher the rep, the better paid dodgy jobs you can get.
With a system like this, there should be enough missions for everybody.
