Missions not progressing

I was wondering if anyone has any tips on how to get past mission objectives not progressing when completed. I'm getting a bit sick of grinding Restore/Reactivate missions now to access the Engineer, as it feels like a large % of them get stuck at turning the power on.

The objective will just say interact with the power regulator or something after I have already turned the power on. Nothing happens and it should say leave the settlement (or if its a extinguish all fires part next that bit should come up).

I have tried removing the regulator and doing it again but that doesn't do anything, it just wastes even more time since it takes so long to shut the system down lol.

Weird - I've done hundreds of those and not seen that. Probably worth checking the issue tracker and raising it with specifics if it isn't there, or adding to an existing issue if there is one.

It's been happening so much recently. Not just these missions either. I've had retrieval missions where the item I'm retrieving isn't there. Data download missions where the data isn't in the data port etc lol.

It isn't consistent though just more frequent. I could do 2 missions fine and then the 3rd will screw up. Some days they just all screw up, and other days I can play fine. I wish it wasn't so time consuming and wasn't exacerbated by other bugs, such as the flashlight not working properly so it takes twice as long to do everything. I can't wait to unlock night vision for my maverick suit! It's just sadly a vicious cycle as to do that I need to grind these missions...

I've been defending FDev a lot and even I am getting a bit jaded when this kind of thing keeps happening. I wish fixing gameplay bugs was higher on the agenda.

Relogging normally fixes these kind of restore/reactivate mission progress bugs but after relogging you'll have to start the mission from scratch, plus you won't have any loot anymore at the base.

Oh sweet! I am actually in the middle of doing this. I removed the regulator anyway and went back to my ship and then logged out to make coffee. I was just about to go back on now to see if this would work

Keep the power regulator, you will need it later.

Yeah I made sure that I removed it before relogging as I am starting to run low on power regulators lol.

It's actually a fun additional step sourcing one, I ended up going to another settlement on the same planet and stealing theirs first then shooting my way out.

I was just trying to find a suitable issue tracker ticket for this but the search tool is just so bad, it needs its own ticket.

No matter how many times I entered a relevant search phrase, it returns the same list of unrelated tickets. So if someone else can manage it, that would be appreciated.
