With every new screenshot of the improved planet textures I get more excited about it.

So far I'm very pleased with the new surface textures. Having bought a second account just for exploration and sight seeing, this can only be good news! Can't wait for the Q4 update with surface terrain improvements too! ;):cool:

Hmmm, maybe I will take a second trip back to Colonia after all. Might even be in the Keelback if the extra seat comes when the beta finishes.

You missed off the sound designers, and those of the flight model. And the UI. And the stellar forge. And customer support. And........ oh okay.... bluddy all of them........

I've needed to upgrade my graphics card for a while. Think the new planets are going to prompt me to get that 1070. This is going to be the most expensive free update in gaming history :D

Considering that the planets were originally much closer to the current beta versions, that picture does a great job of showing just how appalling they've been since beige.0 landed. The improvements look like they'll be what gets me out on another long exploration trip once they go live, I've forgotten how it feels to approach a landable planet with a sense of anticipation.

I have had an itch to leave for another grand exploration tour for quite some time now but kept pushing it to a further date because the planets had become dull looking. I guess I'm out in the void when Beyond goes live [cool]

Same here, when I saw the pictures at FX17 I knew that when those new planets arived I'd be out in the black again.
Seeing the screenshots from beta I can hardly wait.
They're fantastic.
