Anyone who's done any exploring will already know there are some stars that can be fuel scooped and some that can't, you can look them up e.g. http://elite-dangerous.wikia.com/wiki/Stars but they are hard to remember. However it looks to me like any of the most common types O, B, A, F, G, K, and M can be scooped - and there is apparently a handy mnemonic for remembering this.
This looks like it will help me a lot when looking for stars to scoop in the middle of nowhere so wanted to share - sorry if it's already common knowledge
