Mobile Phone/Tablet Controller Extension

Anyone using a mobile phone or tablet to extend their keyboard/controller setup?

I'm not using it but I saw a post on an app that worked with key binding, it is designed for gaming, looked really cool. I'll see if I can find it again and post it in hear.

I use mine to make navigating the side panels easier as well as buttons for deploying/retracting landing gear, Hyperspace, Supercruise and deploying weapons. I do have all these mapped on my HOTAS also, but find using the ROCCAT easier if I can't quite remember where certain buttons are. A quick glance at my iPad is often easier than searching through the diagrams for the HOTAS.

War Thunder outputs certain data to your local machine IP that has been used by one of the players to create a cool tactical map.

It shows position of all vehicles on the map, direction of travel etc. Lets you set waypoints you can share with squad mates.


It probably would be pretty easy for FD to output data in a similar way. Even if it's just the ships systems so you can navigate the left and right screens on your tablet or phone instead of using the UI.

Perhaps a local market feature when your docked, or if the galactic map wasn't too much for a mobile device. Let you set your navigation on your tablet.

Probably wouldn't be a lot of data and be pretty cool. Obviously extremely low priority, but an idea nonetheless.

Good idea, will keep an eye out for this if someone much more clever than me creates it.

I'm still pondering the future, when we have a rift on, especially for lefties where keyboard throttle is really the only way to go.
How to manage the controls with your eyes shut

Hopefully there will be a load of new controllers to take care of this in the not too distant future. 5 buttons aligned more or less to your fingers and then multiple rows n the vertical with different textures on the different rows would be perfect.
