Mobius Group

Hello,

Been playing horizons for the last week and I love it so far. What I was curious is I join the group called Mobius on Horizons but for the last week I have not seen anyone. Is the group exist still?

Thank you,

Cmdr Skywalker

I was in Mobius yesterday around all the populated systems and never met anyone else. In fact I haven't seen anyone in Mobius in over a year, and the only person I saw there then was coming back from a long exploration endeavor. Perhaps many people are still out doing that.

I wasn't purged, didn't get re-invite.

I play in mobius asia pacific but not seen another commander in ages, that said im not really too fussed about meeting other commanders :D

I was playing in Mobius yesterday too and saw 4 people....and I wasn't in any "active" systems. That's more than I saw playing in open in the same area the previous day. (And I admit, is also an anomaly, it is rare for me to see that many people in a day unless I visit Shinrarta D or an engineer).

Check your contacts log if you think you've not seen anyone. The Galaxy is humongous, lotta star systems...odds of seeing another person outside of hotspots are pretty low. And then, even when you are near them...you might actually not notice them, but your contacts tab does. Mine, for example, has like 50 commanders in it from over the past 2 weeks, yet I didn't personally actually notice the majority of them.

It's dead. Met one player in six weeks. They recently purged the membership, and resent invites. It's a mess. EU2 has 20-something players now. Avoid the loss of time and forget about Mobius.

What a load of nonsense.

That’s incorrect. The original “Mobius” group is full and bugged so the admins have created regional groups for people to sign up to. It’s all on their website..

Hello,

I have sign for a Mobius authorisation and was accepted but when I play online I have not seen anyone for the week I have been playing. I have spend on days off eight hours a day playing and have not yet seen anyone also. I play everyday since a week and nothing. I am onlinr for the last 2 hours and have not seen no one yet still

Thank you,

Unless you're in a hot spot, it is the same in open isn't it? I mean, I went several days without seeing another person in open recently. The galaxy is HUGE, we're spread all over.

If you want to play with other people in Elite, it seems to me that you need to be proactive to do it. Join a Squadron or go to systems that are hotspots. Inara's tools include one to find active CZ's (with other commanders) if you're into CZ's and want other people around.

Being passive about it and thinking you should just stumble on other commanders is going to be very hit or miss. I imagine platform and region also have a huge impact. Someone in a region with fewer players or on consoles is going to be even more miss than hit.

A load of nonsense I guess not.

I'm in Mobius with 2 accounts, and when I left Jameson Memorial yesterday morning with my second account there were at least 10 open squares on my radar.
On my end I see the numbers Para Handy posted. I'm on PC also.

Hello again,

Well I want to thank evryone of you guys for trying to help out. I do understand a bit more why I don't see any Mobius members online. At the moment on my game there is an amout of around 4100 members, and around 217 pages to go through which I did and the ONLY player I see connected at this moment is me. So must be really unlucky then
Am playing on PC btw.

But anyway thanks again guy's and be careful outhere :p

Xbox user here.

I haven't experienced ANY problems, my main account is using the ORIGINAL Mobius group which is maxed out at 19K members and closed to new joiners. NO problems connecting to this group which is very much alive and kicking (they periodically kick inactive accounts... but mine is used regularly interspersed with Open).

My Alt account uses Mobius Eurasia group and again absolutely NO problem playing in that group (one of the replacement groups for the full-up original Mobius)

That's not actually accurate. Unfortunately it doesn't show that the people are connected even when they are, unless they are also on your friend list. Not sure if that's how it is supposed to work, or just a glitch, but I noticed it right quick after joining Mobius. I have friended a few people and they are the only ones it ever shows as online for me.

Thanks for info. But I did apply for Mobius like I have mention earlier on this thread, but I have chosen North America's group that is probably the reason why I don't see that much players in open.
