Mobius Group

19702 members, lol, how many of them still playing? if you want be honnest begin by this point
They recently had to redo the groups and people had to ask for new invites, so one would presume ... almost all of them, or why else would they have asked for new invites?

Might not be true for Europe, not sure how it went down there, but it is true for NA.

I play in Mobius Eurasia pretty much all of the time (sometimes in original Mobias) and see a few hollow squares around the bubble often, but not always.

OP, remember that there are those who really want you to play in Open, all of the time :)

I am in the original Mobius group and havent seen anyone for ages. If i go open though i can see plenty of people.

Even going to systems with thousands of ship movements i dont see anyone.

I also note that the original mobius group shows nearly 20k members but no one is showing active online at all. However if i go in other groups i am a member of such as operation IDA, i usually see a dozen or so players listed as playing the game at that time.

If you go in a group listing now, it tells you were a member of that group is playing and if they are in open solo or private group.

There are nearly 20k members in each of the Mobius groups. Here's the thing though - you won't see anyone online who isn't on your friends list. Or at least that's how it has been - I haven't explored the new menu changes much at this point, but it's likely still the same. And then there is the matter of The Galaxy is Very Big and people tend to spread out pretty far - like me, some roughly 40k light years from the furthest edge of the bubble.

Hello,

I have sign for a Mobius authorisation and was accepted but when I play online I have not seen anyone for the week I have been playing. I have spend on days off eight hours a day playing and have not yet seen anyone also. I play everyday since a week and nothing. I am onlinr for the last 2 hours and have not seen no one yet still

Thank you,

Cmdr Skywalker
what mobius group did you sign up for?
There is the European , american, asian/australia groups.

I am in the American group, located in the pacific Northwest and Like you, I seldom see players. Recently, I have been playing open and have seen lots of players all located in a station, none of them were outside and very, very few of them would even text " 07cmdr " back on a local greeting. I give them a shrug and go back to my exploration, dss scavenging, srv collecting which requires only 1 commander... me.

I fly in Mobius N/A as well but I hang around Lembava mostly. I see other CMDR's on and off, probably in the area looking for the 15% discount. Certainly not a great number but considering time zones, instancing, and sheer size of the Galaxy not unexpected.

I'd say join a squadron if you want regular meet ups with CMDR's.

Am in Mobius Eurasia and have seen people from time to time. I don't really pay attention; I like to know other Cmdr's are out there, but I don't need to see them or speak to them. ^_^

I guess a lot of people from Mobius PVE Eurasia went to the DW2 groups too.
At least that's what I think, because there seem to be less then I used to for some time now, correlating with DW2.

This thread deserves some information.

To read how to join Mobius PVE groups please go here.

The info below is taken from the link above.
-There are now three active mobius groups around.
"MOBIUS PVE AMERICA" - AMERICAS (North/South/USA/Canada etc)
"MOBIUS PVE EURASIA" - (Europe, Middle East, Africa/AsiaPacific/Oceania/Australia/China/Korea/New Zealand etc)
"Mobius Factions" -For those wishing to support the Mobius player faction also have the option of joining "Mobius Factions" as well as one of the main groups

The old Mobius groups are still around and players still use them, but they do not accept new members and are destined to be closed down some time in the future. It is all explained in the link above.

I use both the original Mobius and MOBIUS PVE EURASIA. I see other commanders regularly in the usual hot spots (engineers, community goals, etc.)
The main difference from open in my view is that I rarely see more than 3 or 4 other commanders at the same time. (It is worth noting that I use IPv6 for stability reasons and that does not help my instancing with players using IPv4).

Im in the orig Mobius group. I pop on nowandagain and see plenty of CMDR's. I'm currently on my annual sabbatical for summer as my focus is two wheeled.

I didn't check Mobius recently, I used to be in the group for BGS stuff and doing wing missions with some friends who should be still there.

It was mainly active during CGs, good to meet CMDRs for HAZRES and similar stuff...

I still fly there. (European Möbius, tough. I can't say for the NA one. ) Some people are still active in the European Möbius. But since squadrons launched, i definitely meet less people there. The weekend before the squadrons patch was rolled out Jameson Memorial still was crowded. Plenty of people there, the usual chat going on. Since the squadrons patch numbers went down. When i now visit Jameson Memorial, there's rarely more than three or four other people there now and the last weekend i actually at some time was the only player there.

My theory behind that is that squadrons have their own PGs. I mean, these PGs cost nothing extra. Everybody can make one and from what i gathered, even PvP oriented squadrons now have their own PGs. So i believe that many people who formerly were active in Möbius now rather go to the PG of their squadron. At least the timing really matches.

(It is worth noting that I use IPv6 for stability reasons and that does not help my instancing with players using IPv4).

Holy Batman! You are right! I have to check that out. I also around xmas activated IPv6 again. (Somewhere in or around the patch notes also was something about fixes, so i gave it a try again. ) So take all of what i wrote with that caveat: my observation of numbers going down in Möbius was already before i switched IPv6 on again. But it might indeed also contribute to or be the reason why i now see less people.
