This has been mentioned before. And although I want it as well, it does raise a few interesting 'issues'.
- Module storage would greatly increase backend DB size - Not exactly insurmountable, just something to remember.
- Commanders would then want to transfer modules between locations in their cargo holds. It's a given. This then raises the sticky question of what happens when the ship gets destroyed. Do the modules
- Get destroyed and charged for in the insurance screen
- Get destroyed and lost
- Drop into the local instance as a scoopable object
- A mix of the above
If modules started dropping, we'd be down the route of EvE Online griefing in no time!
If they just got lost, imagine the howls.
If people got charged and they didn't have enough cash for them, again, imagine the howls.
Just pointing out that it's not necessarily as simple as you may think![]()
A fix for all the above (except DB size) would be to only allow storage at a station, not in your ship. Which makes sense to me, if your trading u don't want some of your cargo space taken up by modules and if your doing combat you want SCB's instead of cargo racks. So store/change out at stations only. problem solved.
just buy 2 Pythons, and you are fine.
