I've heard a lot of people talk about what certain features for specific animals should look like. The reality is however that pretty much all species have some level of variation in them.
This is why I propose that Frontier should add variant models to all their species.
I say all species as, in my opinion, there is not a single animal in this game that would not benefit from some variation in the mesh.
Think about it. You can have varying tusks, horns, antlers, manes, etc and etc.
For example, with lions, you could have a while assortment of different mane thicknesses. Or with your deer herds, they can all have slightly different antlers. These could even be very slight differences like the side of the neck where the mane of a blue wildebeest droops down.
Perhaps something like the random antler/horn generators in many hunting games such as CotW and Way of the Hunter could be implemented.
