I'm posting this question here because I know the Elite Dangerous community can be pretty tech savvy and I couldn't find an answer on google.
The issue is that my modem (which has wifi built in) will disconnect sometimes seemingly without cause. This usually looks to be related to game launchers that connect to the internet: I've noticed it with Steam and Battle.net. It does happen sometimes when I wake my computer from sleep, though and I don't have any game launchers set as startup programs.
Weird thing is that I've discovered that pushing the WPS button seems to be the fastest way to reconnect even though my computer is wired in, not on wifi and it's the modem it's self that drops connection, not just the computer. The lights all flash and the online light goes out. Pushing the WPS button fixes it even after power cycling doesn't. It's very strange.
So, it's not just my computer messing up, but it seems to be something to do with my computer messing the modem up. Any thoughts?
