Modular Building and Terrain inspiration thread

We are in the halfway point between the reveal and the launch of Jurassic World Evolution 3! 🦕

Today is also the launch of the Americas and Asia DLC packs for Planet Zoo console, not only does it make the console edition of planet zoo up to date, but it has gotten me excited to get back to that game and build a new zoo with all that game has to offer. I have loved the modular building and terrain customization from that game, and thinking about the creativity in that game has gotten me excited that Jurassic World Evolution 3 as well, as it will also have a similar experience with modular building and terrain customization.

This wants me to start this thread for everyone to share inspiration ideas for Jurassic World Evolution 3, be it cannon or non cannon. Once that games launches and players get hold of these tools and access to the Frontier Workshop, the flood gates would open and a slew of creative builds will be available for anyone to access and try themselves. So below, I am sharing some ideas of what I want to build in the new game, and anyone is open to share their inspiration for the new game.

These ideas cover but not limited to:

1. Buildings
2. Enclosures
3. Movie locations
4. Park setups

JUMBO SIZED WATER DECORATIONS

So this is going to be a guilty pleasure of mine, but I really want to play with the idea of creating buildings with modular building that would act as decorations for lagoons. It is purely silly, where I want to create a bubble treasure chest, a decaying castle, and colorful "Plastic" plants to place in the lagoons. Is it realistic? No not at all, but it is really something I want to see if we could execute in the game. Especially if we could have some glow in the dark marine reptiles swimming about, there is a bit of silly fun to be had making the park lagoons into jumbo sized prehistoric pet shop aquariums.

LOCKWOOD MANOR

To a more serious and cannon note, I am eager to try and see if I could replicate or see someone attempt to build the Lockwood manor in Jurassic World Evolution 3.

With the dinosaur market being an accessible facility in Jurassic World Evolution 3, as well as access to tundra and alpine biomes, I would love to make parks in the game that doubles down on the black market aspect of Fallen Kingdom. It would be really cool to have this building hidden in the park, as though the park we built was done behind the manor itself. Likewise, it would make for an excellent exhibit piece for the indoraptor, as I always linked that hybrid with the manor itself.

THE CAMP CRETACEOUS CAMP ITSELF
Camp from Camp Cretaceous.jpg

We could make any facility with the new modular buildings, and I do redwoods or similarly large trees could be integrated to the game and modular tool set. Imagine, we might get all Camp Cretaceous and Chaos Theory dinosaurs in JWE3, and with zip lines being part of the game with the hint of a boat tour being a new attraction, why not let us recreate the camp itself! It would be such a nice set piece of the park as a segmented section that would be camp focused, with the dinosaurs from the show being nearby enclosures.

DOMINION PROLOGUE'S PTERANODON COASTAL CANYON
JWD_Pteranodon_prologue.jpg

I see we have some creative liberty when it comes to aviaries in JWE3, I want to see what is the full extent we have, such as adding more air space by using the terrain tool to lower the ground considerably. With that in mind, one thing I am excited about is making a proper coastal cliff like enclosure for my pteranodons. With deep water and cliffs being part of the terrain tools we have now, it is more likely we could create something similar to Dominion's pteranodon canyon we have seen in the prologue. We could decorate some spots with nests, and it would be phenomenal if pterosaurs could actually swoop down and catch their own fish from the deep water.

DINOSAUR SIZE MURAL / MINI - MUSEUM

One of the more exciting decoration pieces is the ability to have access to models of what I presume to be every dinosaur in the game. I love the idea of having a decoration to represent the dinosaur to decorate the guest segment of the park, anything to invoke the same feeling we had when we went to see representations of extinct animals in museums.

I could imagine this being one of the easier things to build, but simply having some key dinosaurs lined up in front of one another so that their sizes paint a picture of the size variety would really make for a nice "Education" piece for our guests.

CRYSTAL PALACE DINOSAURS

This is one I think will be cute to make in the game, especially if we end up having the chance to house prehistoric crocodile for their respective statues. Having tiny parts of the park house crystal palace like arrangement of dinosaurs with shallow water would be a nice nod to how far dinosaurs have come since their discovery way back when. If we could also choose poses for certain dinosaurs in our parks, it would be a nice chance to recreate the two crystal palace iguanodon statues with the Jurassic World versions.

LEGACY DINO TYCOON GAME BUILDINGS

If you have ever played a video game and were ever fond of anything with dinosaurs, most likely the answer for any of the above would be yes. One thing that is noticeable that despite the expected cut in roster with the launch of the game, Jurassic World Evolution 3 will very likely have dinosaurs you have enjoyed in a previous game. No matter what that old Dino sim game is, you may have grown nostalgic for the days back then and surely, there is a strong likelihood you might be able to recreate or at least imitate buildings from previous prehistoric zoo sim games.

You might want to recreate a building you were fond of back then, or even try to make one that is based on concept art or cut content of that old game. Given the tools that will be given to us, there is a strong likelihood that you might see these old buildings again in the latest Dinosaur Sim management game.

These are some areas I am intrigued to recreate in Jurassic World Evolution 3 when it launches, and there will be more that I want to try out if I ever get inspired. I will share what else I would like to try to build in the future here, and if you have any inspiration, share here as well! 🎨
