Hardware & Technical Modular / Custom panels

Hello there fellow Elitists!

I am going to be a bit rude and use my first post for a shameless self promotion!

Me and my friend are developing a commercial modular panel system to be used in simulator- and other games or softwares. While we've been doing the design and technical aspects "behind the " so to speak, we decided to open our beta testing phase a bit for those who want a cheap alternative to existing simulator panels and controllers out there. This is purely so we can get more feedback from our future user base, some more mechanical testing of our switches and what not before we move to the actual production phase.

This essentially mean that we'll be selling our panel system in a slightly less attractive form with off-the-shelf casing and with less "wow" factor. The benefits are that you are only paying for the parts, not for the design and assembly. It's a good offer for those who would like to involve themselves with our product and for those who want a cheap, easy button/switch panel for their games.

I'll be more than happy to answer all your questions about the system.

I'll also be posting here more about our progress in the future, we're hoping to get a proper, customisable panel out there making it easier for fellow players to use their games, especially those wro are also geared for other simulators and what not. Instead of getting panels suitable for one-thing-only (Cessna panels....), you'll be able to choose what you want.

I would post a link to our thingy, but as a new user I can't do that... any solutions to this problem from the admins or fellow users? :p

Sorry guys, had a bit of a case of influenza here!

I am not sure if I can still post links...? Somewhat annoying, wouldn't want to spam the forums just to get the rights to post links (I understand the reasoning though).

Here's the link for the test version.... does it work?

Seems to work! Yay!

This is a super limited version, so if you have any questions or requests, feel free to ask them!

We don't have a website yet, as due to taxation laws and what not we cannot "officially" sell the prototypes or what not and having a website is one of the meters of officiality. All really confusing. Once we get out of the prototype phase we'll have a website out and running and I will let you guys know about it :)

So here's a prototype render of the actual modular panel we are aiming towards to. This is more representative of the actual panel we'll be producing than the one we are currently offering you guys. We aiming for the generic airplane panel look, any thoughts on that..? Or in general.

Yeah, we've been thinking about the look of the panel for quite a while, as we sort of want to have these to be "generic" as possible but still fit in a lot of games and user needs as well. One option is that we'll have different kinds of "collars" for the panels, this generic airplane look is one of the options we'll be going forwards with. The good thing is though that the collar is just a separate part and can easily be designed to be more futuristic/fitting for Elite. I kinda like the industrial airplane look though.... ;D

Tablet/LCD-screen version is also on the planning table, but we'll have to get this main system out an about first. Can't really use an existing tablet probably, but we'll look more in to that once we get that far with our thingy :)
