Could we get a breakout for key binding systems to power on or off?

Power on off? Like shutting down your powerplant?
What advantages would that give you besides a better silent running mode?
You would lose all controll of your ship, you shields, your life support etc.
Also if you destroy the power plant of an other player they blow up, so it wouldnt be logical if you could just turn it off.
If you dont mean the power plant please be more precise

.Turning the power on or off on the individual modules. Sorry for my poor choice of words.
For example I may want to kill power to unneeded systems to cut heat when trying to escape from a suns gravity.
Or if you shatter the canopy in a dog fight you can power down the docking computer.
