Horizons Module Storage - Next step, ship presets?

Probably been brought up before, but what if you could set your ship up with preset loadouts in terms of modules based on what you have in your storage bay?

So, for example, if I decide to go mining I could go to the presets loadouts in the storage area and select it, which would instantly swap in the refinery, prospecting drone, mining laser, etc... Then when I'm done, choose my "everyday" loadout and swap everything back.

Yep, this does seem like the next logical step after module storage. I too would like to be able to have a Ship configuration/pre-set I could define and name using the various stored modules I have at a station. One for mining/exploring/combat etc

1st things 1st fellas how about giving us storage for cargo. I for 1 cannot fathom the thought process that goes into putting things into the game that you need to upgrade then have to lug all said items around with you. Seriously it is just plain that i have to gimp certain ship fits with cargo space just to carry my gear for upgrades. 1 quick solution for this would be to give us a option when changing ships "do you wish to transfer cargo to new vessel". At least that would let us use 1 of our own ships as storage until a better option comes up. Who in their right mind would fill their ship full or their rare hard earned items just to either be destroyed and lose them or interdicted every 5 minutes because u have said items on board. After that has been sorted then yes i would agree with you that the next logical step would be saved setups for fitting just like EVE. Difference is you could store all your stuff in EVE before they came out with save fits that is logical progression to me.

I agree, having to earn hard earned commodities as cargo , only to have them destroyed on interdiction is stupid and extremely time wasting. It's about time ED listened to the complaints of it's player base and did something about this.

I have lost count of the number of times I have spent days collecting item for engineers only to have them lost thru interdiction. For the life of me I cannot understand the thinking behind this farcical way of playing. Who in real life would keep valuable commodities on-board a ship that is constantly subject to interdiction?
