Module storage - where are my stored modules?

I've stored a few modules now, to change my Keelback build to cope with different missions, but now I want to put them back on my ship, they're no where to be seen! For example, I put my cargo rack into storage, then when I go to put a module from storage onto my ship, all it shows is the cargo rack I just stored, and an indicator that I've stored 4/60 modules, but only the cargo rack is on the list!

What am I missing? Do I need to go back to the station I stored my other modules in?? I thought it was shared storage?

Frontier are having problems with storage..... I have seen several reports of it:(

Ah... this might explain it :( Thought I was going mad! Annoying because it means I'm going to need to go somewhere to buy the modules required! Grrrr.

Are you looking under the tab for stored modules or rebuy your sold modules?

Yep, definitely in the right screen. "Transfer from Storage".

I believe I have lost some stored modules as well.... While my engineer upgrades do not bother me much because all mine are usually only grade one right now, I am missing the cost of those modules... Actually I did have 1 class 6 grade 5 FSD for the Anaconda, which I believe is now gone... damn. Well, I had to gather more materials anyway I guess... still... would like to have had the money though. I think I even had a 8B or an 8C power plant with grade 1 engineers on it... those cost a pretty penny.

Christ, please ignore me. I know there are indeed problems with stored modules, but I've just realised I need to go t othe Stored Modules section and actually transfer the modules to the current station I'm at!

Apologies all!!!

It is not shared storage. you have to go to the station you stored it at or have it transferred to the station you are at

Just be mindful that you will lose about 5% of any modules you store. I've lost 3 thus far, one of which being a 7D dirty drive that had a 32% modifier.

And 1 in 100 will become corrupt/unusable which is rather painful because for me it's a packhound with a really good high capacity mod. Can't put it on my ship without crashing the game.

not sure if im blind , but i was looking for the location of my stored modules and couldnt find them.

i didnt want to wait for the transfer , how do i find what station they are stored at?

EDIT: ..uhh nevermind it is so obivous its not funny. on the screen right infront of me.

No worries, you just assumed it'd work like 99% of games but this one is a bit precious like that ;)

Wish I knew that before I stored all my Anaconda's modded guns for this exploration trip to SagA*
Hopefully they're still there when I get back.

I found a weird bug recently related to explore data, you can crash the transaction server if you try to buy the system data of a system you've scanned all but the asteroids. Asteroids have no cost so the transaction server divides by 0.

I wish they give you a free roll for losing it.

Not obvious enough for me, I'm afraid. The only hint about the whereabouts of my stored modules is on the popup screen for confirmation of a transfer to the current station. What I see there is "Distance Levy [153.19 Ly]". Searching for "Levy" yields a number of results but when I browse through those systems none is actually 153.19 Ly away.
I started the 30 min transfer now but for the future I would really like to understand how one is supposed to find the stations to pick up modules.

If the system is on lockdown you can't recover you modules lol you have to go to a neighboring system pay a small fee and wait a while.

Wherever you removed the modules, that's where they are. You can go there and retrieve them, you can sell the modules remotely and re-buy them locally or you can elect to have the modules transferred to your current location (usually less expensive and easier than selling the modules remotely and then having to shop for local replacements). You get 100% refunded on modules you sell so selling and re-buying is mostly a hassle in time (you have to go looking for them), rather than money.

Apologies for necromancing, but I'm afraid this problem still exists.
I'm 100% sure I stored by Asp Explorer shields before installing cargo rack in its place, as well as set of other modules before that. Now these are nowhere to be seen - inventory tab is empty, also not accessible in outfitting screen.

Although I've thought that design of the module storage feature was been bad from day one, I've not seen any recent bugs/problems. What are the problems you think Frontier is currently having with module storage? Is there a link to report(s) where the problems are explained?
