Module storage

A increase for module storage is long overdue now 120 modules is no were near enough personally I'd like to c a unlimited amount due to the fact that some players have over 50 ships in there inventory which could also mean they remove the limit of ships in ports from 40 to 100 ships

yes! this is my pet peeve also 4 tabs in the storage screen would be amazing "hardpoint" "core" "optional" "utils" why would fdev limit the grind like this ? yes yes you can buy storage ships i have about 6 t-10's and 3 vette's for this purpose (yes i have a problem) but it kinda hurts if u need for say a small lazer and you need to send in an entire T-10

I would say that yours is a really fringe case and most people do not have that many ships or modules. What I would recommend is that we can breakdown engineered modules for mats

80% of the people i play with have this exact same problem with the storage (he who does not have this problem will have this problem in the next 2000+ hrs)
Giving back (some) materials when you remove the enginering on the module would be a good idea as well although i don't think it would be easy to implement this how many mats would you get back for a fully gr5 plus experimental ? half ? 75% ? and for that grade 1 you wanted to try ?

If you're storing this many modules you just need more ships. I have two different Corvettes for two different things.

I wouldn't say no to more module storage but we do have a lot.

yes this is a very good work around but not really a sollution to a problem , as the OP is stating the 120 mixed module limit is not big enough and that is correct in my eyes , even if you don't have this problem there would be no restriction in gameplay if they would make the storage limit infinite.

being able to store all my custom modules instead of scrolling tru storage ship to find what i'm looking for would be such a huge QOL improvement

Same here... I am buying more ships to add more mess to the messed up things!

I'd like to have also a better UI interface, where players could set up the ship quicker than now and not having to engineer dozens of the same module to equip all the ships!

I'd like to be able to filter them. I have no idea how they're ordered at the moment. It's not alphabetic, it's not by class so I'm confused enough already. (My Mum did tell me I'm special though if that helps :D)

Storage on ships is best bet imo.

How is that a QOL improvement? If I want to mine, I just swap to that Corvette, instead of swapping all the modules out one at a time. My one-click change seems much more quality.

The problem you're trying to "solve" is created by module hoarding. It was more necessary before, as engineering outcomes and effects were random and you wanted to keep your best gear available, but now you can just re-engineer the parts to the same outcome pretty easily.

Yeah I am really struggling to find any reason to need more than ~ 50 ships, maximum. Also 120 modules seems fine. More than that and you can likely sell some

You're ruining the plan.

QOL (Quality of Life * ) Packages are now available for purchase :
  • 40 Bonus Module Storage (160 Total) = 16400 ARX
  • 80 Bonus Module Storage (200 Total) = 21800 ARX
  • 120 Bonus Module Storage (240 Total) = 27540 ARX
  • Premium Storage Pack : 120 Bonus Module Storage + 25 additional Ship storage slots = 37990 ARX

In line with our current Store philosophy, these items do not provide any direct advantage in terms of Gameplay but instead aim to provide additional convenience Options to our Consumers.

I want them to do that.
Please do this FDev.

From overall 30 ships my fleet the number has grown to 50 where 20 ships are used solely for module storage (Vipers and Condas). That time where instead of enjoying the game I'm doing this ANNOYING module juggling between ships  Why that stupid limit even exist? Why? To annoy us, yes? Right now the situation is like - you buy "storage ships" and lose time on module juggling or you build a carbon copy which means grinding a lot for eng. mats and wasting time. Remove the module limit or raise the limit to reasonable amount of 500 or 1000 pieces. Fleet carriers coming next year. More ships. We want more storage space because of that.

Get rid of some? Even with all my ships I have maybe 20 modules stored

I've been playing since launch. I have one of each ship except for a Cobra IV. Once I realized how tedious it was to have to strip a ship every time I wanted to put its modules on another I started propriatizing the modules to the ships. My engines don't come off my Viper, my HPA belongs to my FDL etc.
I store about 30 modules and could probably do with getting rid of half of them. I dont really care one way or the other except that I like to see demanding people not get what they want.
