Mollusc Watch

The last time i visited Jaques (3~4 months ago),there were 3 NSP here, but when i arrived today there are 11 sites.
Has anyone else noticed an increase in the frequency of sightings in known systems?

They're spreading!?

Huh. Maybe FDev did something I wasn't expecting. If they start appearing in additional systems, that will be very telling. I wouldn't have expected FDev to have created a growth simulation, but if they literally meant it when they said "seeding the galaxy", that would be very, very cool. I still doubt that's the case, but it's worth keeping an eye on.

It's not so much an increase as the numbers varying a bit.

Sometimes there's only the original 3, sometimes there's more - though only in the original positions near 2b, 7 and 7g - and the extras aren't on the Lagrange points, but near them.

I suspect it's a bug to do with the high level of system traffic maybe "cloning" some of them, since the ones in other nearby systems seem fairly static in number.

Check your ship for stowaways. A lot of invasive species are spread by us here on earth in similar fashion. Would be amazing for Frontier to implement that sort of thing, especially if the players had something to do with it.

There are so many bodies and signal sources there it's easy to get confused,i had to scroll through two or three times just to check.Even had my socks off at one point, they were so numerous. :)
Still,if as you say things are back too normal, that is all to the good.I have to wonder what they were doing there, though.Maybe spawning?

Today there are 17.

Edit: I was out and about and on my return to the colonia system all except 3 had disappeared.
So perhaps things are back to normal.

I've been to Colonia with a short visit and can confirm that something strange is going on with those stellar phenomenons: every time I entered the system, I got different number of NSPs. I'm afraid, this looks more like a bug.

I saw 12 when I was there a few days ago, and one of them which I stopped in had a pod of verde mollusks. Then just yesterday there were only 4 or 5

Sorry to ask this so late, but do you check what is inside those NSPs? I mean do they have the same cloud types and sets of crystals or are they every time different?
It's never too late for mollusc watch.:)
If i'm in Colonia. There are sometimes too many to visit in one session. But they are different, although i would guess there is a correlation between the two. But the population does expand and contract. It would be interesting to see if they are migrating through the known populated systems or if they have a hatchery nearby.
