Money as a whole is RUINING my experience in every aspect of Elite

lol my fully decked out Viper costs 200k to replace...I would have to say the game doesn't scale very well especially when you get to the bigger ships. But it is rather realistic in the approach, as not everyone should be able to afford ships of the line. But man, death will be such a pain, I don't think I'll even buy any ships bigger than the ASP because one death will lose it all (It's also not like they are that strong at all, completely not worthwhile especially against other players)

Well, death should be painful after all...

Can't disagree with that, just that it is likely I will never bother with the bigger ships at all...except maybe against NPCs?

My current Cobra will cost me 300k to replace it , it costs me 15k everytime I take 4% damage from an interdiction that I win.

No worries that sort of moneys easily made in an hour or so.

The balance concerning wear and tear etc is about right in my opinion.

It does my nut that everyone say, need more money, cant buy a n Anaconda, too expensive to run.

the end game of this is nott that you get the biggest ship.

From what i can ytell, these big ships are supposed to be rare, not everyone is suposed to fly them, and if everyone did, so what.. just lots of bigger ships flying around. You're missing the point. if that;'s the end game you want, then you have to earn it, and you have to pay to run it. These big ships ARE stutus symbols, like driving a Lambourghini. expensive to own, run and insure. and rare.

The thing is, you simply do not need the big ships to enjoy this game, I am in a kitted out cobra, an love it, i go type 6 if i want to trade, but have no desire. I play in cobra, and just tooting around exploring, doing mission and trading en route has earned me another 18 million creds.

i might buy an ASP, simply for big jump range to go deep galaxy exploring, but i know that that isnt going to earn money, i'll do it cos i want to explore - and when i get back, i'll swap back to my store cobra.

The game's only been out a week, come on, your not supposed to have a Python, Type 9 Anaconda yet - although if you really wanted to you could, but if you get one, you have to maintain it.

yes, they should cost a lot, so give in the whinges. enjoy the sandbox, not moan you cannot buy supership and run it yet..

I don't understand all the people being mad about wear and tear repairs, its just minor money... Jumped around between systems like a frog with all different kinds of ships (viper, cobra, T6 T7, ASP) and the bill has never even been close to what people are complaining about... I don't get this.

EDIT: Just had a look at the W&T of my Type-7 after jumping between systems for the last 7 hours (!) Its a whooping 11k... Damn thats way too much!
