Client changes:

  • Bounty vouchers can be redeemed at any starport in a system that also contains the faction which issued the bounty.

Just made my day. I've been a little short of cash recently while upgrading, so can finally turn in the 800k or so worth of minor faction bounties! Woot!

Doesn't help for those bounties earned in completely uninhabited systems.
I think the main point of this change is you don't have to find the exact right station belonging to the faction that issued a bounty. It's enough that there exists one in your current system and you can land anywhere to claim it.

It's a step in the right direction. But what about those bounties we have for factions where we have absolutely no idea where they are? I'm not talking about bounties for factions with no stations, but bounties to hand in at actual minor factions that exist somewhere out in the big black yonder but no idea in which of the 160k+ (or whatever the number is) populated systems we picked them up in :)

No it's a bug fix for some bounties that could not be turned in anywhere. I bounty hunt in an anarchy system with 3 or 4 factions but only 1 station.

Ended up with a pile of bounty vouchers for every podunk faction. Problem is there's only 1 station and it belongs to the main faction. So you could never claim the other bounties. This fixes that.

But if a system has no stations or outposts you still won't be able to redeem any vouchers from local factions as there is no where to land.
