MongoosT-50CM3 detent levers too stiff

Hello Commanders. I have VPC MongoosT-50CM3 throttle and I want to use "Cosmosim" style detent on it for the neutral throttle position but the springs on those detent finger levers are way too stiff for my liking. I like my controls to be very light, so I am using this throttle with friction clutches relaxed all the way. I want that detent to be felt like a soft bump when moving through, nothing more. Is it possible to replace springs on these finger levers with softer ones? I don't see any options on the Virpil site. Thanks for any ideas.

I think that if you put in the cosmosim detent set you will find that the throttle will just ride over it with a slight bump without any need to use the levers at all.

At least that is how it is with my VMAX Prime, and the two throttles look very similar in that respect.

i think you may find you already have the light springs("AviaSim Soft Center")and the only way to go is up to the heavey duty...................
general wear may help you get to the level you need so i am afraid you may have to play more:D
(or learn the art of hardend steel wire spring making or goto screwfix https://www.screwfix.com/p/hilka-pro-craft-extension-compression-spring-assortment-200-pcs/63863
"Aviasim Soft Center" is the set of cams for the stick base. I have them installed in my WarBRD-D base. And yes, it comes with the softest springs installed. I am trying to make throttle detent softer. Making springs is fine by me, I do sheetmetal and some machining in aviation, I was just hoping to be able to use some off the shelf solution. Might have to play harder to brake that one in as you suggested. LOL

It does rides over that detent, but with friction clutches being relaxed as much as in my case it is disproportionately harsh. When you can move your throttles with a pinkie and it drops into that detent that hard it is almost like hitting a pothole on the highway. LOL.

Have you tried removing the cosmosim detent thing completely? ie no detent thing at all.
Yes. Using it without it at the moment. I was able to adjust friction clutches exactly the way I like it and it is really nice throttle, just wanted something for the 0 throttle position for landing. Most likely I'll just bend those springs . I'll be like a Jedy and I will use the Force to adjust it. LOL.
