Monorails should be a thing on planets. The lack of a functional avatar might limit us to only using the station services screen, unless you have a ship or SRV at that station, but it could be quicker than having to break atmosphere just to run half way around the planet for something small. Not to mention how satisfying it would be to watch a space train flashing across the planet surface.
Player housing is gonna be a thing one day, but a quick route (at least convenient for stations) could be to instance them. For the moment, we could enter through an SRV garage, which could ask for a room number we have clearance to so my bros can come hang out. Crew positions for apartments:
A. The Big Chair - Clear view of the TV and can change the channel.
B. The Stool - Close to the bar and can reach the drink replicator button.
C. The Bean Bag - Comfy AND conveniently close to the Stereo System.

Shuttles could be a way to go down to a planet from it's orbital station, maybe an extra fee for transferring the SRV on it. Saves time. Costs money. Still optional.
