this zoo has no actual relation to the real Montpellier Zoo
Good evening, everyone. Some you may know me from the Zoo Tycoon community, where I harboured the same username I do here - which might make things easier. Anyways, I decided to experiment with Planet Zoo and would like to share some initial screenshots of what I've built.
I decided to open up a franchise and keep on working on the same zoo - Montpellier Zoo. To put you guys up to par, this first post is just to show some images to see where the zoo currently stands, and I'll be giving updates on the movement, tweaking, readjustments, construction and expansion of things - don't worry if you feel like these pictures aren't enough, I know they're not and will show all of these exhibits again, promise!
To start off, showing our Pygmy Hippo paddock, complete with a barn of sorts where guests can view them in the colder months.
Next up is two shots of our Formosan Black Bear and Red Panda exhibits.
And finally our African Herbivore House, containing four different paddocks: (i) Reticulated Giraffe and Thomson's Gazelle; (ii) Gemsbok; (iii) Sable Antelope and Common Ostrich and (iv) Giant Anteater. You may be wondering what the hell Giant Anteaters are doing in an African Herbivore House, but they're one of my favourite animals and so, when the DLC was released, I had to play with them somehow and, at the current standing of the zoo, this was the best fit I'd found. I don't think it's too terrible, though, as zoos are always having to repurpose and fit animals into exhibits which at some point were held by others.
Please excuse the ungodly amount of guests.
As can be seen from the final picture, some work is still needed in regards to the scenery - but that will have to wait for the next update. Hopefully it shouldn't take too long - quarantine has given me quite some free time. See you soon.
