I disagree. In this day and age a basic understanding of astronomy should be a given. And once you know that moons are natural celestial bodies that orbit planets, which in turn orbit around suns, finding moons in Elite is easy as pie. That was what my post on the first page was trying to convey: the recipe to find moons for someone who surprisingly didn't seem to know what moons are. I did that a bit tongue-in-cheek, granted, but the information is still correct.

That is not quite true. Celestial bodies are sorted in a staggered manner on the navigation page. Planets are subsets of stars (which have their own symbol) and moons are subsets of planets. Example:
Asellus 3 is a planet, while Asellus 3A and 3C, being subsets of Asellus 3, are clearly moons. Beagle 2 Landing is orbiting around the moon Asellus 3A.
