More a Gas Dwarf than Giant.

Came across this as I was heading back into the core from the outer arm, in Virph YI-G c24-0 I found the smallest Gas giant I have seen to date hence the title to the thread Oh and it's a moon.

Is this normal or is it a rarity or just a fudge up in the stellar forge.

for reference the Ice world it's a moon to is 29,9876 EM with a radius of 19,909KM.

The ones around one earth mass or less are pretty rare. I think someone has found one around 0.2 earth masses, which does sound a bit improbable? Though, if there aren't any solar winds I guess anything is possible?

Weird, makes you wonder how it has enough gravity to keep all that gas together?

Am I not right in thinking that on our planet any free hydrogen eventually just floats off into space?

If the planet's gravity (and magnetic field protection) is stronger than the forces trying to push it away the gas should stay around.

Oh, lovely find, thank you so much for sharing. I love massive ice worlds and that Gas Dwarf is just awesome. GD, I like that. :D

Thanks all sorry I forgot about this thread, I did find another one a few systems away from the one in the OP but nothing coming close to the smallest will keep looking :D
