More agressive carnivores?

I just tried a little sandbox with the new update, (dont have the dlc yet), and out of the blue my t-rex killed off my raptors!
Is this new to the update? I haven't experienced that before! I kinda like it but, damn was I unprepared!

it would be a new thing if thats true but I've never seen any large carnivores kill any small carnivores. normally they can't
