The idea of more Jurassic World era buildings inspired by the aviary from the JP DLC.

Likely as big DLC editions, should they be planned and decided, I see them being a part of something like my conceptual “Phase Two” and my dedicated aquatic park map threads (the latter I actually suggest something similar in its comments section).

Conceptually, the “animal houses” I have thought of would be best for amphibians, certain non-dinosaurian reptiles, (maybe) large bugs, and certain small sea creatures (ammonites, trilobites, placodonts, etc.). So basically, large indoor habitats (just like the in-game aviary), small outdoor aquariums, etc.

The species that I’m going to share in the Dino Wishlist Mega Thread in due time are creatures I really don’t see being free roaming types like the Compsognathus, both because of what they are and how the game is made. So instead, I see them being similar to the Pteranodons from the JP DLC’s aviary: Species who are restricted to enclosed exhibits.

Now, with the aviary, when it breaks from a stormy event, the Pteranodons escape the damaged aviary and when they do, there’s nothing you can do to get them back other than emptying their slots and replacing them with new arrivals. With these new “animal houses” I’m suggesting, it would be the same, but with a different consequence for those creatures. When an “animal house” of the kinds I’m suggesting gets damaged, instead of escaping (which should already be logical for some of the creatures I will share eventually), the inhabitants will remain in the structures, but could either die out the moment their buildings get destroyed, or in due time if their buildings aren’t attended to via ranger teams on time. Maybe some of those creatures could escape just as much as the Pteranodons can, but will roam the park until captured or death, which is kinda inspired by the fact you must place the three escaped roaming raptors into the raptor pen structure at the start of the JP campaign, something which you couldn’t do before with any structure in the past.

The idea also suggests to have access to multiple species per structure, unlike how the current aviary from the JP DLC only has access to the Pteranodon. But, like the aviary, I’d imagine the buildings having a limited slot page for only a certain number of individuals at minimum or maximum, depending on how many available slots you set up. With the varying sizes of the species I’m going to list afterwards, however, I’m not sure how the current individual slot mechanic like what the current aviary has would work for some of those structures, if they won’t be big enough for like six large human length (or larger) creatures or stuff like that to give a realistic sense on how they are all able to thrive together in such exhibits, that is. Because I’d imagine the structures being at least smaller than the current aviary in-game, width wise. Unless, something is worked around that, of course.

The species themselves, as stated above, will be shared in the Dino Wishlist Mega Thread sometime soon. My reasons for choosing them and so forth will be better explained in further detail there.

Finally was able to complete the species list for this general concept in the Dinosaur Wishlist Mega Thread.
