The Diamondback-building CG is staggering. It's getting to the point where only tiny profits can be made; Beryllium went from a demand of >2,000,000 to 0 in just two days. Is this the result of cheaters still being able to influence the persistent universe?
Isn't the discount on the upcoming Lakon Diamondback enough of an incentive? Speaking for myself here, I'm not doing the event for profit, I'm doing it for the perm. discount on the Diamondback.
That is exactly why I am doing it, and why I thought it's a "community goal." No, I'm hardly making any profit (at least not a debit). I also have a small Asp with 96T cargo, not a T-7 or -9.
The permanent discount for the Diamondback for the entire community is a worthy enough goal, as everyone will share in it. Doing it "just for (personal) profit" is rather lame, to me. Just my 0.02cr.

Yes, the demand went down cause majority of the commanders involved were doing it for a profit. So naturally the system already met their quota for that specific type of metal. With 8.2M tons of metals being supplied by over 3000 commanders, this is what will happen. There are other metals that are still in very high demand.
How can you tell that there are 3000 commanders involved ?
I'm not doing CGs, is there a way to see how many people have signed up for it ?
I assume you're not referring to the GalNet traffic report.

Cause it says 3005 contributors on the bulletin board for it @ Wolf 406's Hamilton Gateway?
I think we need some kind of new incentive to help trade CGs along when demand starts to go down
