More CG trouble...

The cheaters love to see their names in the hall of fame, which ironically makes them visible to everybody. Gonna have to wait for the results.

Downloading software that does it for you doesn't require a mastermind. If you're gonna cheat, you better stay invisible.

Dear FD. Before you add more content... before you fix silly little bugs... before you start thinking about charging me for an expansion pack... please fix the overwhelming amount of cheating in this game.

Isn't the discount on the upcoming Lakon Diamondback enough of an incentive? Speaking for myself here, I'm not doing the event for profit, I'm doing it for the perm. discount on the Diamondback.

Yes, the demand went down cause majority of the commanders involved were doing it for a profit. So naturally the system already met their quota for that specific type of metal. With 8.2M tons of metals being supplied by over 3000 commanders, this is what will happen. There are other metals that are still in very high demand.

The Diamondback-building CG is staggering. It's getting to the point where only tiny profits can be made; Beryllium went from a demand of >2,000,000 to 0 in just two days. Is this the result of cheaters still being able to influence the persistent universe?

BG sim reacting to the players - take that as a sign from FD that it works ! :)

There is no need for any further incentive other than the knowledge you're taking part and at the end you will get some reward anyway.

That is exactly why I am doing it, and why I thought it's a "community goal." No, I'm hardly making any profit (at least not a debit). I also have a small Asp with 96T cargo, not a T-7 or -9.

The permanent discount for the Diamondback for the entire community is a worthy enough goal, as everyone will share in it. Doing it "just for (personal) profit" is rather lame, to me. Just my 0.02cr.

How can you tell that there are 3000 commanders involved ?

I'm not doing CGs, is there a way to see how many people have signed up for it ?

I assume you're not referring to the GalNet traffic report.

If you pick up the CG mission it will tell you how many participants there are.

Cause it says 3005 contributors on the bulletin board for it @ Wolf 406's Hamilton Gateway?

edit: The above works too :D

I don't know who is top right now - but if it's still Apos then he's legitimately ground that figure out with an endurance that is terrible to behold!
If he's been surpassed then yes - someone is cheating!!

I think we need some kind of new incentive to help trade CGs along when demand starts to go down

The basis of trade is that a low demand entails a lower reward, I don't see why it should be changed. Besides, the CG itself is your reward: influencing the game in a way you want plus the additional tier reward. I personally don't see why there should be an additional incentive.

Beryllium went from a demand of >2,000,000 to 0 in just two days.

I am not a trader but I don't think this indicates cheaters are being involved. If thousands of Commanders are playing the CG then 2,000,000 might go quick, isn't it?
