More chairs in ship cockpits and bridges?

So a team is 4 people right? Any chance we can get more seats in ships to let our team sit with us?

Maybe more of the small ships can have an extra seat added so they can seat 2 in the cockpit?

Some mediums updated to 3 seats in the cockpit?

And there is definitely enough space in all of the large ships to fit (at least) a 4th chair, which means for multicrew operations that could be 2 fighters and a gunner as well as you, the pilot.

Would there be a ship that has enough hardpoints that would allow 2 gunners? Unless you've gone full turret mode, but then you've only got the flying to do as helm. I suppose even just a single turret each would be fine... Or maybe one person is on shield cells and scanners or something. Either way it would be a nice option for the extra crew to participate

The "Big 4" have 5-9 "Non-Huge" hardpoints that can be Turrets

Wouldn't be a bad time to suggest to could use Huge Turrets in any case

... wouldn't it be better to actually get multi crew to a point that it's worth it. Or better yet functional and not a buggy mess?

I wouldn't mind seeing dropships for I.F. be out fitted with something like door gunners. It'd be a good way of clearing away enemy ships and troops from spawn / drop camping.

If we could put a dropship bay on our own ships, or use the cargo hatch to HALO drop our crew in you could totally have someone on the gunner role during that sequence :D

I disagree

We should be able to have 4 people on a ship in Odyssey even if the 4th person can't do anything. It's still better than figuring out the logistics of getting the whole group to the same place together.

While MC needs to be improved upon, Odyssey can't wait for MC to be fixed.

How exactly is "go to my wing beacon" harder than

Oh we jumped? My screen isn't showing that.
Nah I'm still loading on super cruise.
Ah I got kicked out of the multi crew when Ed joined.
My game crashed.

Again it's not just that the game play part of MC is pointless the entire system is bugged to hell

Have you played the alpha as a Team?

It is a lot easier to play as a team on foot if everybody arrives at the planet together

I was flying around in my Dolphin last night and as I looked over my CMDR's shoulder there is definitely a large enough space for a second chair.

Obviously the Dolphin is not really multicrew capable, no real need for turrets and can't have a fighter bay. But with Odyssey and physical multicrew, and the devs themselves saying "you can play it without ever flying a ship", even just having extra seats for passengers in as many ships as possible would be great. Plus a second crew member could still operate scanners or whatever.

  • All the large ships' bridges should be able to fit a full team of 4
  • As many medium ships bridge/cockpits as possible could be retrofitted with a 3rd seat -
  • As many small ships cockpits as possible could have a second seat added

They don't have to have perfect views, as all commanders have access to the camera suite if they want a flashy passenger view anyway.
