General More exploration for a discover Galaxy game!

I would love to travel into earth like worlds, water worlds, giant gases worlds.... Explore them beyond their atmosphere, enjoy wonderfulling myself watching the different planets extreme conditions.

See methane seas, acid rains, extreme winds at 500 Celsius degrees damaging our non reinforced ships, wormholes able to discover, share and drop us into other parts of the Galaxy in a blink of an eye, spaghetti effect in a terrifying black hole till die or teleportation or any other thing.

C'mon Frontier, can't you see all this!

You don’t want much do you? Just your small list is a whole bunch of work, let alone trying to satisfy the rest of the player base.

I’d love ELWs, but I know it’s a really big ask so I’m not holding my breath.

Personally I'm not very fussed about atmospheric landings, I've got No Man's Sky for that, but flying through the upper atmosphere of a gas giant to collect particles, firing collector limpets at the surface of a comet, discovering a rogue planet hurtling between star systems, or maybe even exploring a cave or two, would all be amazing additions to the game.

And let's face it, what could be a better use for an SCO FSD in exploration, than to go hurtling after a comet or a rogue planet on the distant edge of a star system. 😁

How about this. Instead of graphical effects I can project in my mind by myself I would love to discover a gate to one of the satellite galaxies of our Milky Way. Some of them are visible on galaxy map already.
Ability to land and walk on majority of system planets/moons is already great for me. More fancy and flashy graphical effects are ok for me as long as they are optional- if by chance such changes would render my system specs obsolete (like Odyssey dlc did once in the past), I would be forced to stop playing again.

Old chestnut for me. I would rather had atmospheric flight, as in gas giant upper atmosphere and such, than Odyssey. Cool aerostat stations too.

They aren't visible on the galaxy map, they are visible on the skybox, which is a generated image from the star locations and a background image that contains the satellite galaxies, so they aren't "in" the galaxy map, they are "in" the skybox, entirely different things.

I think the devs are well aware that people would absolutely love fully landable fully modeled ELWs and WWs, and have always been. Suggesting it again isn't somehow giving them new ideas they didn't think of.

The amount of work to fully model such planets would be enormous. It would probably be more work than the entirety of the work they have put (and will still be putting) in the colonization feature. Might be comparable to the amount of work put into the Odyssey expansion, if not even more, in some respects.

Well when I look on galaxy map I can see them so for me they are part of it.
It is nice to know how it works and I do recall term "skybox" referring to stars shown while being in system space being mentioned more than once in other posts but the point is they are visible and that is all that matters for me.

I'm just wondering how many players would think like me "how nice would be to go there" or "I would like to take part in developing method to go there".

The andromeda galaxy is also visible, but it's not actually part of the galaxy map!
