More exploration stats?

I would VERY much like to see more exploration stats in the game:

* Number of first discoveries by category: how many A stars, B stars and so on, and a list of those.

* Same thing for the other astronomical objects: categorized and lists

* The list should (optimally) be connected to the galaxy map, so you can plot a course there.

* Also, it should be a "Notes" section, where you can mark systems that you wanna return to, in order to scan more thoroughly. I know that there is a "bookmark" option in the galaxy map, but for those of us that explore A LOT, the map would soon look like someone blew up a smurf :p

*Biggest system scanned, biggest/smallest/hottest/coldest body/star/object scanned, most valuable scan, furthest supercruise distance from jump-in point... This would be great to have :D

I like most of these, although the one about bookmarking for later exploration I tend to do to continue where I left off during my last surveying expedition. Based on your wording, you seem to be doing a lot more scan and runs than I ever do. Then again I'm really bloody-minded about the "job" and don't rush off when I enter a system. When I'm there I'm there to complete.

Used to have that information in the export function of EDDI which was fun to peruse occasionally. But since the recent updates doesn't seem to be there anymore or is hidden deep within some part of the database that I haven't discovered through my casual observations. But it being in the game would definitely be better. After all, it exports it all to the log files, why can't it be available on the 4 panel like everything else?

Exactly this. They have all this info already, registered on their servers. And the list(s) for each CMDR doesn't have to be server-side, it could be client-side if they are afraid of server strain by implementing this. I'm also using 3rd party tools to get the list, but it's a huge hassle compared to having it on the 4 panel.

I'm currently on my way to Colonia, with 19 missions that'll give me 30+ MCr, and I'm travelling on a completely uncharted path. Since I'm in a bit of a hurry, I can't stop to scan anything other than ELW/AW/WW. I'm "Buckyballing"/Jump-honking past a lot of massive systems, not scanning these low-payout but still awesome systems.
And that is not the Explorer way to do it. I want to easily be able to find and return to these places, but I'm pretty sure my game would crash if I bookmark 500+ systems on the galaxy map. Also, that's not what bookmarks should be used for; they are for not having to punch in the same system name 1000 times while trading etc.

Alternately, make a separate bookmark section for exploring, that doesn't show unless you select one of them :)
