Ships More fighter type ships like the Sidewinder (Gecko, Mamba and Krait)

Who wants these ships from the original Elite back?

Me Anyone else?

We need a wider variation of the small fighter class ships to. Which are excellent for patrols and escort missions. And off course pirating in wings.

A wider selection and a real place for the smaller ships would be great. As it stands players rarely use the small ships once they get their biguns kitted.

At least for the Krait, there is an age old statement by David Braben about it not being on their current list:

Will we ever see the Krait in game?, was always my favourite ship.

Sadly it is not on our current list. That's not to say it couldn't be added in the future. I liked it too, even though it is quite a simple shape.

But as I said, it's an old statement. Perhaps the contents of said list changed due to popular demand

The more ships the better I say, doesnt matter if some are better or worse at particular roles, it would just be nice to have more variety and to be able to fly some of the old ships.

Yes, the more variation in ships the better. More to fly and more to shoot at. Think about getting interdicted by a pirate gang of kraits, mambas and sidewinders with Elite rating. Must be interesting.

I wish small ships were worth flying. Once you get to a certain income level anything smaller than the Vulture is obsolete, and it doesn't take long to get there. Small ships need a niche. And more variety.
