I've noticed that flatrides seem to be a hot topic as it can be hard to make a themed park and find the appropriate rides for them. People seem to be asking for more of them, but I think that in terms of guest variation we have quite a lot.
I think it might be a great idea to make some of the current flatrides customizable in terms of theme. My best example of this is the Venetian Carousel. All around the world you can find these with different "seats": horses, cars, planes, you name it, it's possible. So why not give this ride a theme option, where you have steam trains for Western, unicorns and dragons for Fairy Tail, reindeer and sleighs for Festive, boats for Pirate. Some other flatrides are essentialy pods/planes that are connected to the main mechanism in a different way. These pods could also have a different theme.
