There is a problem with "larger maps" however. Unless they find a way to make them work, which they might only, I don't see them a a happy implementation
just yet.
When I was on Meurta East on the Dr. Wu expansion, I experienced a short lag problem when I went to a certain zoom in or out because there were so many entities and sequences playing all at once on my visual perspective on screen at a close enough distance. Conclusion, I don't think the map size is
just a simple random development choice for some of them, I think it's
also primarily a choice to ease out the running system well enough for many in-game and technical reasons all together regardless of the platform.
But still, who knows if that
might change?
