First part:
.
We need more multi-task missions. The ones we have now are basically ferrying information or meeting up with an NPC. Here are some examples:
.
Escape pod return. Rescue a fellow stranded NPC in an escape pod. Take it back to the station. Now you have a choice; sell it on the black market or trade it in via the mission board. If you sell it, you are interdicted by a wing of 4 NPCs which will try to get revenge on you for selling out their crew-mate. If you destroy them, you don't get a bounty, but the mission changes to claim a possibly larger reward due to your bravery.
.
Refueling part 2: When NPC wings are added, this might be cool. Upon jumping into a distress call (or accepting a mission via the bulletin board) and refuelling the target, there should be a 50/50 chance that the NPC either goes on their way (pays you 10,000 per ton fueled up to a max of 8 tons) or wants you to escort them via supercruise to the nearest station (add them to your wing, head over to the station and they will use your NavLock to drop down and dock). They then pay you 100,000 for going the extra mile (the 80,000 is not added on because they decided to want an escort). Aren't these payments too high? No! These missions are supposed to be moderately lengthy, with a 20-70 LY target system. You saved their life!
.
Part two:
.
Rescue NPCs:
.
Every now and then a mission should pop up wanting you to rescue an NPC from falling to a planet (HORIZONS ONLY!). They spawn in below you slowly drifting towards the planet, starting at 10 km at 130 m/s. A new "escort" limpet should be added. You will need 3 limpets to attach onto small ships and 15 for large ships to use small RCS thrusters to move the ship around. The NPC falling will have their engines offline and screaming for help. So anyway, you can save the NPC by attaching these limpets and gong into the module and selecting "Tether". This means they are pretty much permanently nav-locked onto you. You can drop out at a station and they will drop out too. The limpets then begin to manoeuvre the NPC ship through the docking slot onto a pad where they can get repairs. The limpets then exit the station and fly back to your ship before conveniently running out of fuel.
The payment of the NPC would probably be 80,000-120,000 credits as these missions would be rare.
.
Anyway I hope you enjoyed this thread, feedback would be appreciated!
