More optional options allowed in "military" compartments. Please.

The way I see it there is no reason to not allow AFMUs, cargo racks, fuel tanks, FSD boosters, and really anything else that has 0 weight/mass. Those modules (the currently allowed ones) have to be on the interior as the ships dimensions don't change. Such a simple alteration to make so many more ships more viable in so many more applications. One could even make an argument for allowing economy cabins. Just the visual of shoving people on top of one another in multi bunk hammocks or just taping them to the walls makes me giggle.

This literally takes nothing away from anyone and only gives more options to those who want to do something not combat orientated.

List of reasons for each piece ::
AFMU :: To repair weapons and other military parts while in the field.
Cargo :: Easily reconfigurable and for battlefield scavenging.
Fuel :: You need fuel to run the ship and power your weapons.
0 Mass Objects :: They are very small so logically they should be able to fit in where modules that weigh many tons do.

Not to mention, more people flying more varied types of ships means more people buying Arx which means more money for the Devs.

No, this will lead to more power creep and may disturb the intended rebalancing of ships that have these slots to make them viable for the combat role in the first place.

They aren't military items. So no.
Really? I guess the military has no use for medical kits then. Nor do they have a use for enhancing performance of vehicles. How does it feel to be so wrong?

How? What power creep? If anything the PVP won't change because they still need what is already in those slots to be what is already allowed.

You have option to not install military equipment in military slots to save some mass.

They are added on top of everything else, to give some ships potential to be better armoured, if used.
True, however this also is not arguing what I said. This is a "welp just deal with it" attitude which gets nobody anywhere. Instead of saying that, think of how much more fun and useable every ship with a military compartment would become to non-military applications. Diversifying in this manner hurts literally nobody and only improves the health of the game.

You just look at those slots in a wrong way.
Ships use internal slots for everything - you see "military restricted" slot and you think this space can be used for something else, like cargo. But there's no additional space. It's more or less abstract way of allowing you to add more protection by using that "slot" system. If those slots were removed and you would have option to add more armour in some other place in the outfitting UI, that idea would probably not occur to you.

For better or worse ships are designed with various amounts of inside space to be used.

Ok, so let's take the AFMU as an example. That can repair whatever is currently in the military compartments, so it HAS to have access even when that compartment is occupied. The AFMU also has 0 mass so it is not some massive control station that sends out little robots to repair. There is no excuse that AFMUs should not be allowed in those compartments.

Your point about restricting them so we as players know to add armor is beyond weak. If you are going into combat, you know to add armor. This concept is as basic as basic gets and has been around since before the bronze age.

Lastly, it's a video game and this change makes sense both by current in-game operations and immersion. Why are you so against adding more diversity and making the game more fun?

I see you have not understood a single word I wrote.

It's somewhat abstract way to allow additional protection, because some ships are supposed to be specialized in combat. You're attempts to rationalize allowing something else there are pointless. It's not additional space to fit anything. It has nothing to do with amount of internal space for anything else. It's away to let you use, or not use , more shields or armour.

I’d rather have the option to put another level 1 module in the planetary approach suite slot. You can sell it but then it just remains empty……

Unrestricting those slots slightly would make those ships unintentionally more versatile beyond combat and make other ships in their respective roles obsolete.
Firstly no as combat ships would still need to be VASTLY armor (shields, mod armor, or hull armor) so those slots should still be used for those things so no change there. Secondly I didn't say unrestricting them, I said adding additional internals that are reasonable and gave a few examples. And are you really going to complain because combat ships can be used for something other than combat? That makes absolutely no sense.
