More options for our Avatars?

The Avatars are supposed to be figures that represent us in-game, but we can't bring them into the park that we've created. Once we have loaded back into our sandbox or campaign we don't really see them again. [bored]

I would love our avatars to be more like main characters of our gameplay experience with personality and input, and to have some level of appearance in our parks. Additional customisation options for them would be awesome too.

I know this has been suggested times before, I just want to re-open this discussion to see what people think... So what are your opinions? Where would you like to see our Avatars go? Would you like to see them implemented in more areas of the game? [happy]

Your avatar walking around your own park was part of a pre-order bonus if I recall correctly. Then your avatar would visit yours and other parks.
Didn't buy that option, so obviously I never saw my own avatar anywhere, don't really pay attention to it either.

The same with guest editors, if you add those, you take away the pre order bonus feature some people have, because you would create yourself so you are visible in a park.

If you want to have an avatar of yourself in game, you'll need to obtain the VIP Single Ticket item.

So I'm not sure if I need the other character options if I'm not visible at all in my own parks.
it being on the globe in the menu looking like it currently does fits me well enough, but I understand why you want to customize it more.
But then again, it would only be visible in the main menu.

I would be happy just to have more hair color options. I mean I don't expect them to have my IRL hair colour(s) but it would be nice to really be able to give myself a custom color rather than the presets. I am currently using the lime green with witch hat, but it's not optimal.

More clothes would be cool too but I'm OK with my current all black outfit.

I see lilibat wandering around my park all the time and I didn't even get the game till after the spooky pack came out.

That's odd.

Then people bought a bonus, that's actually not a bonus at all.

Was she also called Lilibat or does she resemble your avatar because options are very limited in game and there are a lot of look a likes.

All players of Planet Coaster can find their own avatar walking around as a guest in their parks.

The bonus that Luuknoord mentioned are the VIP tickets; when you own a VIP ticket you can design one guest, one group of guests or one staff member, depending on the type of VIP ticket. These guests are additional to the existing avatar of the player. These VIP tickets were sold until August 2016 during the Alpha of Planet Coaster.

That must be why I see a goth chick with an ankh necklace roaming around my park. I want to mug her and take her stuff.

Really? I bought a VIP guest way back in alpha but the only avatar I ever got to create was the one that stands on the globe. I do see it in the park and in other people's parks, but as far as I can tell its a waste of money since the same happens with everyone's avatars regardless... I don't think there is an additional avatar available for that package.

the default avatar shows up in ALL of your personal parks when YOU are playing (including downloaded parks)... the VIP avatars show up in every players parks while THEY are playing, but it is random and rare and difficult to find them. I have never touched my avatar since the game first launched, which is a shame.

I made my single VIP look really goofy to help me spot him (my default avatar is more simple looking) but, I never notice them in my parks when I play... why are there no VIP notifications?? The devs said they were looking into adding more VIP stuff over a year ago but it never happened. I wish there was more they could do like take photos or collect passport stamps or something (which we had in RCT3)

Oh that's odd... I don't have the option. It does say I have redeemed the code on my steam account, so I wish I'd known sooner and I would have got that investigated. I just assumed that it did nothing [tongue]

That is indeed a screenshot from the globe screen of Planet Coaster with a redeemed VIP ticket. Click that button to open the VIP guest editor. The VIP guest editor is the same as the avatar editor. The VIP guest will be different from the standard avatar that you can place on the globe. Both the avatar and VIP guests can visit your parks.

We should have an option to "View park through own avatar's eyes" and if possible, have the ability to control them.

I know there is an option to walk where you want but that allows you to walk through buildings, rides etc.

What would be really cool would be the option of a toggle switch that let you control your own avatar or let them go where they want to.
