I really just think this is funny but on 23rd April FD give you a buggy update in the usual 'oh they'll just QA it for us' model...followed up with a 'wanna give us money for some pointless paintjobs' tweet a few days later.

You've got to hand it to them. They're certainly bold. I guess if people keep forking out then why not take advantage? This operating model is a licence to print money.

Fair play to you FDev.

I stopped buying paint about a year ago, with the one exception of a Midnight Black for my Conda (which I had to wait for). It's funny to watch everyone in the aftermath of the April update, because I've been dealing with this crap on PS4 ever since our first major update, version 2.4. Everybody be like, "Why you so upset, Duck?" Now you know. Welcome to the party! 🎉

I almost fell for it again. Moaning about the buggy release and then discovering and purchasing some new paintjobs despite swearing I won't reward FD for their shoddy work.

Well, not this time!

Spent 15 Euros on Resident Evil 7 instead, which would normally net me a couple paintjobs and a shipkit.

After not being able to restock the ammo for my Enforcer cannons earlier (server error - it's not just the 10cr but the game now downright refuses to add any ammo at all), I feel like I've made the right decision. Sorry FD but you need to get your biowaste in order. The game is crumbling apart everywhere it seems.

Is Resi 7 good? I haven't played since 2. I never forgave them for Dino Crisis.

You mean the well known saying "yellow-spined" as a metaphor for cowardice?:unsure:

Errr, I think you meant "...matches my belly". In relation to vertebrae, the salient phrase is of course, "spineless" or one can use "Mobius" as a synonym too. HTH

I must be quite the filthy casual, I've only noticed two bugs, both of which I'd classify as minor. FSS warps to a 2d plane when scanning something over 100k ls away and the 10credit restock. Other then that I'm quite enjoying my green type 9.

Speaking of, this last update has been the best update ever! It got me playing Subnautica again, forcing me to figure out all that beginner survival stuff, and I finally have a boat to float :D

I LOVE Subnautica! No spoilers, please. In fact, I'm tuning out now. Between Subnautica and Avengers Endgame (neither of which will I "finish" for a couple of weeks), now might be a good time for me to go on a "media fast". 👋

That's why they've changed the main menu to a large picture of your ship, as subtle encouragement to buy a paintjob for it. Never mind that it now takes an extra 5 seconds to load the game in order to display it.

Yup this update has thrown me back to my backlog of games too.
They realy messed it up this time.
Sheesh, just a small update but a record in bug production.

What a mess......

I haven't bought any of the paintjobs, mainly because i don't own any of the ships they have new paintjobs for.

Waiting for them to add more CM4 paintjobs!

I've finally without question turned off all possibilities of getting more of these and feel alot better about elite...

Frontiers form doesn't earn such treats, simply pull back and the balance is restored.

Yes, i wish it could be a win / win arrangement again but... they forgot to put in the ability to dump all your cargo with one click in the new ui. What does that tell you about the people steering the ship?

Its not that dramatic anyway, frontier has made these things optional, there's nothing in game that demands them so its us with our heads in the wrong places. Froniter objectively don't care about goodwill, except for maybe with a local bunch of people in the UK which they meet in person. Everyone else is out in the cold.
