Currently in Planet Coaster 2, we can place animated devices that move, rotate, or slide. While these are great for creating dynamic and themed environments, the control options for their behavior are quite limited. At the moment, you can only select basic movement presets like “fast,” “slow,” or “fast then slow,” with little room for customization.
I would love to see more advanced control options added to these devices — particularly in terms of speed and timing. For example:
This would allow for much more precise and creative uses of these devices, especially for storytelling, themed rides, and animatronic scenes.
To illustrate: There is a device that travels along a path in a straight line. Currently, you can only choose general speed settings or patterns. Ideally, we could define a sequence like:
Having access to a simple timeline editor or timer-based scripting would significantly improve the flexibility and utility of these assets.
Thanks for considering!
I would love to see more advanced control options added to these devices — particularly in terms of speed and timing. For example:
- Set exact movement duration (e.g., move forward in 5 seconds)
- Pause duration at specific points (e.g., wait 5 seconds before returning)
- Return movement time (e.g., return in 2 seconds)
- Custom curves or easing functions for smoother or more dramatic effects
