don't get me wrong ED has an health amount of star types, butt..

i want to see pulsar's beams of electromagnetic radiation! i don't want want a plane neutron star.

i Want to see the ultra Rare Magnetars! ,a type of Neutron star that starts destroying your ship if you get to close because of the magnetism!
(i didn't steal the name from Pokemon its a real type of Neutron star)

Maybe Preon stars that cause instant death to any unlucky person to jump to in to that system :p

Cold fusion stars!! every watch Dr. Who , remember the episode when he fought the dream lord and was to close to the star that burned ice? kinda like that. there possible

Quasi stars!, stars that make the red giant star Beetlejuice look like Pluto
theoretically...

idk, I just want to see more unique systems and stars classification, so it doesn't seem as much i'm looking at the same info in different order while exploring,

Most of the things you described don't manifest in visible spectrum.
Just saying...

Others aren't scientifically fully explained (some even partially) and how can you have something in game if you don't know what it is?

(I'm not saying it wouldn't be awesome if they went wild with unscientific graphical effects, but then it wouldn't be elite)

Btw. if you like colourful universe, try Rebel Galaxy. Fine little game. ;)

Well, before magnetar's magnetic field would demolish your ship, it'd burned to crisp long before that due other forces before you got close enough to the magnetic field.

What comes to the stars out there... they're not randomly tossed by rolling dice - most, if not all, you can find in SIMBAD. So, unless a cold-fusion star (or something equally exotic) is verified to exist in reality, you won't find one in the game.

well most of what we see in elite we cant see in the visible spectrum, there is an ingame reason why we can "see the unseeable"

Yes. The same how NASA makes Hubble images humanly visible - false colors - translate the spectrum human eye can't see into spectrum they can see. Most nebulae for example... human eye doesn't see the spectrum, naturally, of most of their light - without spectrum manipulation the colorful vistas we find in the pictures would be pretty... bland - infrared and ultraviolet way beyond what we can perceive.

something in revers works too , if your less than a LS away from a star and all your useing too look at it is glass? your going blind , at least

Given that you can EASILY detect these stars now a days at a distance, well there's is 0 reason why any of the mega dangerous would be an accidental jump.

And well given that the stars in the game currently are fairly accurate representations of real stars in real life, I think you might find the actual universe a bit boring.

That said, I believe cold objects, or such could be quite interesting, like there are stars in the galaxy, spread out invisible 'cold' objects, that are undetectable on the universe map, until you try to jump a route where one of these objects gets in the way of your travel and causes an unplanned dropout of frame shift jump. Lets say a near dead star gone cold, or similar's gravity field disrupts your jump, or maybe the ruins of the space ship which is causing disruptions in space from near destroyed fsd or similar, in short, a kind of "random" encounters, but they would be spread out in a fashion so they could be found if you jumped said route, a specific way, and if you did find one, you'd be able to discover it and plan a jump to it and as well as around it.

Preon stars are undetectable now, but we know they exist, there about as dense as a white dwarf but the size of a helium balloon on earth, such a star would cause your ship to implode because your ship is larger than the star lol

faq. Preon stars are made up of quarks and preons, thats why there so small

I'd like to see accretion disks for ultra-massive stars (black holes, neutron stars, class O stars, etc.) and a distinct label for pulsars, even if their distinct feature wasn't represented visually. Actually because of how fast Pulsar beams sweep, it might be pretty hard to notice without instruments pointing it out.

Would be cool to have a wider range of such things in the game. Even for existing things to have different classes or ratings based on size/temp or whatever. Not sure how that would all fit into official side of things but would give the player more info without having to dig through the stats.

For things that cannot be 'seen', I always liked the idea of there being a filter built into the displays of our ships, so we could change spectrums (infrared etc) and see different things. Could we used for other game mechanics too such as more exploration options, or finding hidden things in space not flagged as a USS or something else. Night vision, radiation or heat or whatever. Besides that, it could make for some very cool/trippy screenshots! :)
