I'm having a terrible time trying to find any information on how this will work. I've heard that servers only load information based on location, so they only load what is in your immediate surroundings. "The server transparently creates free roaming sessions (instances) when meeting other players and NPCs within that galaxy based on a perception bubble around you, that is defined by your scanner/visual range." from the Elite: Dangerous Wiki. What happens when there are more than 32 players in your immediate vicinity? How does it pick who shows up and who does not? Will people pop in and out based on movement? If not, once a group of 32 is chosen, how far do you have to travel to be removed from that "group"? What happens if you are chasing someone and they get out of that bubble and are replaced? Will you be able to force your way into that players new group of 32? How would we track specific people if they are in a highly populated area?
I'm just extremely confused on how this is all supposed to work with such a thing as a bounty system and things of that nature. If anyone knows of a good breakdown on how this all works I'd really appreciate any explanations I can get. Thanks in advance!
