more than one shield generator for crew ships?

This year we will see the carrier ship and more perhaps even bigger ships will come later on.
Therefore I like to share the idea whether it would be cool to have more than one shield generator applicable on these kind of crew ships.
As an example one (or even more) shield generators could be applicable for starboard, port, bow and stern.

I suppose this would bring interesting opportunities for multi crew ships for instance the ability to supervise and to change the energy flow between all shield generators by a crew mate making these kind of crew ships nearly invulnerable against an enemy squad. But otherwise it would be weak against enemies if it is not fully boarded.
Therefore it would be vital for a commander to fly these kind of ships with a full crew.

Similar multi crew functions may be thinkable for other ship modules, like for weapons, power generators and so on.
(Power generators may be prevented from blowing up by performing of a shutdown followed by the execution of repair functions by a crew mate.)
Countless interesting opportunities for crew mates are possible…

Though if I take a look on the possibilities which crew members currently have in the game I fear that I won’t never see them coming… but… Hope dies last.

Please give me a sign, if you like this idea. 
 
Well I was hoping there would be more for the gunner and pilot to do in multicrew when it arrived.

Handling shield placement by yourself is practically impossible, but with two people, it suddenly becomes easy, even easier if you add a third CMDR.

I was hoping for multiple gunner slots, to cover hemispheres of the ship, an engineer role, to manage directional shields, repairs and power.
And of course the SLF role, which we have.

The gunner camera is fun and all, but I'd actually prefer that if it was made to feel a bit more like a tactical camera, with extra information, simply so it feels less "gamey".
And the ability to take direct first person control over a single turret, which grants it a bit more power and really detailed information, a high powered zoom, vision modes (thermal, night, etc), so you can man that class 4 turret cannon and put a round right through your targets bridge from 4-5km away if you so wish. Lol
Or have your two other crew man a turret each, and shoot down incoming torpedoes.
Proper tactical gameplay that requires good teamwork.

Seeing multiple modules instead of size 9 modules would be nice, I agree.

It'd make it so you can more feasibly cripple those large ships by taking out one half of the modules instead of one large one.
They actually probably could have done that on the current largest ships. You pretty much ignore large ships in PvP... and when two fight each other it's just a contest of which has the higher stats.
Takes like 7 reverbs torps to take out those size 8 shields I think, which no one person is going to have fit.
