More time to exit Stations after trespass warning

Hi Commanders
Was wondering what your experiences of the Trespass Warning in stations were! (we should get a little more time I think).

I cancelled my docking just a bit too late (forgot delivery to other system) and was given a trespass warning but did not have enough time to turn around line up and exit before I was fired upon by station, (I was accelerating away at the time) this cost me 95,000 credits to Buy old load out + another 300,000 for cargo lost, that meant my last couple of hrs of trading went down the drain. I ended up quitting after next couple of runs cos I was so fed up. I would like to know if anyone else has suffered a big loss due to this.:(

I've done it a few times...every time I freak out and hit full reverse thrusters and back out blind. Probably not the best tactic but I've yet to anger the control tower.

I was slighty inside station when I hit cancel, (docking computer was on) so stupid me, so turning round was'nt so easy.

That is part of the risk. If you enter in a area that says NO trespassing do you think they will give you more time?

A few tricks. Hit Assist off. Turn then Assist on and then boost.

Next time disable docking computer.

What I would like to see for this... Instead of instant kill (try backing out anything requiring 2 or 3 blast pads in 23 seconds) ...

How about the hefty fine, an emergency docking charge (a few thousand credits) and the ability to just... I don't know... Dock?

Sure it would be a hassle to say "YES, I don't want to die, have some money!" but I have lost more than one ship because another ship followed me into the station and I couldn't just back out blind. (seeing as we have rear view mirrors now days but have long been discarded for some reason) Hell, even my car has an aftermarket rearview camera.

I got a 600cr fine for trespass, which apparently authorises the feds to use lethal force. I was chased out of several systems before I found one that let me land & pay the fine. A bit OTT for merely forgetting to ask for docking permission, IMHO.

I think it's just fine the way it is. If you cancel, you need to move quick to exit. If you're not prepared to move quick, don't cancel.

More time please

I would have totally needed more time to exit station yesterday, i have almost new ASP fully loaded with Palladium (120T) and i was so exited that i forgot to reguest docking before i entered inside the station i got trespass warning. That ASP is not wery easy to get out quickly in that kind of situation i was destroyed just when i get out of the station, i was just outside from the gate before the counter reached zero, for a moment i thought that i survived because there was announcement of 500c fine and i was like  "yeah close call" but then the stations defence blow up my ship.

I surely keep enough insurance money for now on. I was bankrupted and have to start again. There was some Finnish swearwords  quite loudly for some time after that incident :D

I've done this a few times, including quite recently. Typically it's when I'm in a rush and not paying enough attention to my flying, I forget to request docking clearance. I did that just a few days ago, my GF was talking to me, and I was in a rush to finish a cargo run and log off for dinner, I realized it while I was in the entry letterbox. Stopped, threw her into reverse and got out quickly.

I was able to make my request and get landed in less than 2 minutes from that point :D

It happens to the best of us, and even if I panicked and got myself lodged in the access tunnel, and blown up, I always have enough for my insurance payment.

Trust Zaonce Life and Casualty, never leave space dock without it.
